Coinbase® Extension®
Coinbase Wallet Extension on Chrome. Please note that the steps may change, so it's always a good idea to refer to the latest information on Coinbase's official website. As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, here are the general steps:
Open Google Chrome:
Launch the Google Chrome browser on your computer.
Visit the Chrome Web Store:
Navigate to the Chrome Web Store by entering the following URL in the address bar: Chrome Web Store.
Search for Coinbase Wallet:
In the search bar of the Chrome Web Store, type "Coinbase Wallet" and press Enter.
Find the Coinbase Wallet Extension:
Look for the official Coinbase Wallet extension in the search results. Ensure that the extension is developed by Coinbase, Inc.
Add to Chrome:
Click on the Coinbase Wallet extension listing to open its details page.
Click the "Add to Chrome" button. You may be prompted to confirm the installation.
Confirm Installation:
A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the installation. Click "Add Extension" to proceed.
Wait for Installation:
Chrome will download and install the Coinbase Wallet extension. You should see a notification confirming that the extension has been added to Chrome.
Access Coinbase Wallet:
Look for the Coinbase Wallet icon in the Chrome toolbar. Click on the icon to open the Coinbase Wallet extension.
Log in or Sign Up:
If you already have a Coinbase account, log in using your existing credentials. If you don't have an account, you may need to sign up for one.
Secure Your Wallet:
Follow any on-screen prompts to enhance the security of your wallet, such as setting up two-factor authentication (2FA).
Backup Your Wallet:
Coinbase may prompt you to create a backup of your wallet. Follow the instructions to create and securely store a recovery phrase.
Explore Features:
Familiarize yourself with the features of the Coinbase Wallet extension. You can manage your cryptocurrency assets, send and receive funds, and explore additional functionalities.
